The 13 Best Ghost Tours in New Orleans

New Orleans Ghost Adventures Tour

One of the best ghost tours in New Orleans has to go to the New Orleans Ghost Adventures Tour Company. They pride themselves on visiting real haunted locations documented by real ghost hunters!

The ghost tour guides are incredible storytellers and offer you the real history of spooky and haunted sites around New Orleans.

New Orleans Ghost Adventures Tour has multiple tours to choose from, depending on what you are in the mood for. They do an amazing French Quarter Ghost Tour or a Haunted Pub Crawl, but if you can’t make up your mind, why not go on their New Orleans Voodoo, Ghost, Murder, True Crime and Vampire Tour?

My favourite tour has to go to their New Orleans: Cemetery Bus Tour At Dark with Exclusive Access.

The guides are historians, so they know their stuff and are really good at creating a spooky atmosphere through their storytelling. If you are looking for a historically accurate tour full of New Orleans history, look no further than the New Orleans Ghost Adventure Tour.

All of the tour guides are stellar, but I absolutely loved how Mike was able to turn the local lore and eerie history into magical stories that will keep you captivated.

Crawl New Orleans

Are you a lover of ghosts and the dark history contained within the New Orleans French Quarter? Crawl New Orleans super spooky ghost tour The Haunted Crawl is a must!

The impressive and much-loved tour guide, Alexander Addams (I wonder if he has any relation to Morticia and Gomez?!), is a superior storyteller. He only tells the best stories filled with violence that stirs up intense emotions and tops it off with hilariously gruesome anecdotes.

Not only does Alexander tell the tales of some of New Orleans’s horrifying haunted history – but he also provides tidbits of real hauntings that are still happening around the French Quarter today.

Alexander keeps the fabricated stories separate from the real truths behind some of New Orleans’s most terrifying tales. He will tell you which horror stories are true and which have been fabricated into myths.

The tour ventures into one of the most haunted places in New Orleans – Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop Bar. You may get to drink a pint side by side with Jean Lafitte himself.

One of the best things about taking a tour with Alexander Addams? He will dive deep into New Orlean’s haunted history and tell you many stories that other tours never mention.

Royal Carriages

If you want to ride through New Orleans listening to some of New Orleans’s most unique and quirky history by a mule-drawn carriage, you should take Royal Carriages New Orleans Haunted History Carriage Tour.

This tour is only available to small groups, so it is the perfect tour to take if you want to avoid the crowds. Not only is it great to get off your feet while listening to the lore of the supernatural, but it will also feel like you are stepping back in time when getting around by carriage was the norm.

This is a family-friendly tour and great for someone new to New Orleans. It is one of the best ghost tours in New Orleans for families and those wanting to learn some interesting history about the Big Easy.

The only downfall is that the guide can be hard to hear (although they do use a microphone and speaker system), so I recommend getting there early so you can sit at the front of the carriage. This tour touches on more than just New Orleans haunted history, so if you are just in it for the ghosts, I would give it a pass.
